Why would your church host this workshop?
The nature of any material determines the rules by which it must be interpreted. When the nature and genre of Scripture are misunderstood, the result is misreading, misapplication, and ultimately flawed doctrine. This workshop equips participants to read Scripture according to what it is.
Who is it for?
The pastoral staff, ministry leaders, interns, and thoughtful lay leaders eager to deepen their understanding of Scripture. Multiple organizations can participate together.
Location?
Hosted at your church or at a neutral venue arranged by IST (cost varies).
Format Options?
Offered in 3-, 6-, or 9-hour formats:
First 3 hours: The nature of Scripture and its interpretive consequences.
Second 3 hours: A panoramic overview of a biblical book (e.g., the Pentateuch or Ezekiel).
Final 3 hours: Guided case studies that allow participants to apply what they have learned.
